At the bottom of this post, you can subscribe to receive INSIGHTS each week directly to your email. Join today and leave the wait behind.
Also, while you are reading, you will notice a pop-up offering a chance to give toward the cost of the revival. You can use that link or simply come prepared on Sunday to give by marking an envelope “REVIVAL” and placing in the offering plate.

Revive Us Again?
We praise Thee, O God, for the Son of Thy love, for Jesus, who died, and is now gone above.
Refrain:
Hallelujah! Thine the glory! Hallelujah! Amen!
Hallelujah! Thine the glory! Revive us again.
2. We praise Thee, O God, for Thy Spirit of Light who has shown us our Savior and scattered our night.
3. All glory and praise to the Lamb that was slain, who has borne all our sins and has cleansed ev'ry stain.
4. Revive us again; fill each heart with Thy love. May each soul be rekindled with fire from above.
Written in 1863 this Hymn has endured as a rousing anthem to boisterously sing and proclaim the call for revival. Personally, I find this song very encouraging, invigorating, and indeed a personal favorite.
But I do often contrast this “call for revival” with Psalm 51:17 which states,
“The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. God, You will not despise a broken and humbled heart.”
To me, I must put aside my personal favorite hymn for what pleases God. The sacrifice of a broken spirit and a humbled heart. Revival begins by dying to self and living to God. I pray that Fellowship will choose a humble spirit as a sacrifice to our Heavenly Father, which is better expressed by this Hymn.
Send a revival, O Christ, my Lord, let it go over the land and sea,
Send it according to Thy dear Word, and let it begin in me.
Chorus:
Lord, send a revival, Lord, send a revival, Lord, send a revival, and let it begin in me.
Send a revival among Thine own, help us to turn from our sins away. Let us draw near to the Father's throne; revive us again, we pray.
Send a revival to those in sin; help them, O Jesus, to turn to Thee; let the new life in Thee begin, O give them the victory.
Send a revival in ev'ry heart, Draw the world nearer. O Lord, to Thee,
Let Thy salvation true joy impart, and let it begin in me.
When we do we might better sing and especially proclaim the last line of the chorus, “And Let It Begin with ME!” paired with the first hymn's chorus,
“Hallelujah, Thine the Glory! Revive us again!”
PRAY FOR REVIVAL! ATTEND THE REVIVAL! BRING SOMEONE TO THE REVIVAL!
BE FIRST TO BE REVIVED, RENEWED, and REDEDICATED TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD!

Our Moral Concerns Committee…
…has a display outside the Worship Center's door where you can pick up information that informs you about the impact of the November 4th elections. There are many items and candidates that align with a Christian Worldview. If you need or want to know more, feel free to stop by and pick up literature, a yard sign, a bumper sticker, or just to chat. We are blessed to live in a nation where we self-govern. I encourage you to take the time to vote and encourage others to do the same.
Bible Study – Sunday, October 4th
Will meet in the Fellowship HALL at 9 AM to learn more about serving in the revival. Tom Hudson will be leading this session for all adult classes and Youth teaching about prayer and serving as a prayer counselor. This will be videotaped, so see Doug if you are unable to attend because you are serving in ministry that morning. Text him at 636.534.1580.

Exciting things are happening in the 180 Student Ministry!
This past month we have seen God work throughout our students! It’s not going to slow down the month of October either! We have some fun opportunities for the youth! This Sunday kicks off the tent revival! Sunday evening, we have our youth leading worship for the revival! It’s going to be a praising good time. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
On October 18th, we are going to the corn maze!
We are meeting at the church at 2:30 PM. The corn maze we are going to is Shryocks Callaway Farms. It is about 45 minutes away heading toward Columbia. I have taken the youth here in years past, and we always enjoy it. The plan is to be back at the church between 6 and 6:30, where we will enjoy some fellowship and Chili😊 we will be done at 7:30 PM. This will be the youth group time that day. The cost is $10 per youth. Please reach out if you have any questions!
It is Fall now and I am sure you have some jobs around the house, like yard work or even Fall cleaning that needs to be done. If you are like me and would rather not have to do the yard work (I don’t like snakes😁), then you are in luck!
It is Rent-a-Youth month! Wait, what?
Yes, you read that correctly. If you have any needs that need to be met around your house, inside and out, you can Rent-a-Youth for a couple of hours or even a day. What? No way! Yes! We want to help with the cost of camp this next summer. I am sure millions are asking, “What’s this going to cost me?” This is donation-based work. You pay what you think the youth have earned that day. It’s easy!
All you have to do is reach out to me by phone or text at (636) 534-1605. Let me know what jobs you have lined up and when you would like to use them. I will get the youth lined up to come to your place. The youth are excited to serve you in this way😊
