Some of the BEST discipleship happens in the everyday rhythms of life!

In the car after school, around the dinner table, or during those bedtime conversations when they suddenly have ALL the questions.

But here's something I was recently reminded of… don’t miss the hard moments too! When our kids are worried, frustrated, doubting, disappointed, or afraid, we have an opportunity to teach them to run to God FIRST! Not as a last resort, but as their FIRST response.

And here's the challenge… Are they watching US do the same?

Deuteronomy 6:6–7 reminds us to teach God's Word as we sit at home, walk along the road, lie down, and get up. We don't have to manufacture moments to disciple our kids.

We must be intentional with the ones God has already set before us to join Him. Discipleship isn't just something we schedule on Sundays. It's something we LIVE Monday through Saturday. Don't miss the ordinary and mundane. Don't waste the hard. And don't underestimate what God can do through your everyday faithfulness to Him!

3DKiDZ Announcements!

Christmas Program

This year we are doing a Christmas Program! Yay! And guess what? Your kids can be a part of this production. Sharon Campbell is the director of the drama and Pastor Doug is leading the choir.

  • Our 3DKIDZ ministry will be singing 2 songs in the Christmas Program (1 with the youth and one with only kids)
  • Sharon needs 6 kiddos to be sheep, 3 to be shepherds, and any other kids who would like to participate to be towns people.
  • Costumes will be provided and these roles are not speaking roles. Kids will be moving around the sanctuary.
  • There will be drama rehearsals communicated to you by Sharon. The Christmas Program is on December 13th.

Each year the deacons elect their Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary.

At this year’s election all officers were retained. Mitch Schuber – Chairman, Jason Wolgamott – Vice Chairman, and Gary Woods – Secretary. Remember to pray for your deacon as they are praying for you.

Join us at your choice of rehearsal time 3:45-4:30 or 6:45-7:30 on Sundays. There are recordings for home practice and books available in the Chapel as well as a rehearsals schedule.

Each card on this wall represents an area service presently NEEDED!

Presently with the change of leadership in the Youth Ministry Crystal is especially asking for volunteers to help with Sunday evening crowd of over 20 students that are attending and bringing friends. Talk directly to Crystal or grab a card and fill it out so she can contact you.

Church is not a spectator sport. We are all part of the active Body using our hands and feet to reach and serve our community and each other.

Prayer Counselor Training – October 4th

During the Bible Study hour at 9 AM, all Bible Study classes for adults and students will meet in the Fellowship Hall to receive training on serving as a counselor during the Revival.

This Sunday after Worship the Fellowship Church Council will meet and begin the work of being a church council. Bro. Roger is leading this meeting, so every ministry team leader needs to be present or send a representative. Dave Clarno would also appreciate if every team leader would check the church directory app and check your team’s membership for accuracy.

Romans 12:18 states, “If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

I’m always taken back with the word IF at the beginning of that sentence. If possible? Shouldn’t it always be possible in the Kingdom of God? I’ve provided a link to an article that articulates why peace is always a choice that MUST be made by all who find themselves in conflict and yes, we often must STRIVE to accomplish peace. Peace is more than the absence of conflict. That being a people that love each other so clearly that everyone knows we are HIS disciples is a great witness to the body and to the world.

Coffee Ministry and Teams.

This crew arrives early and sets up the coffee stations so that we can enjoy both the smell and taste of fresh brewed coffee. They also stay after church to clean up so we can really appreciate the extra effort it takes. Extra volunteers are needed to create enough teams that each team serves one weekend per month and if you have very limited availability we could use you on 5th Sundays. A team is 3-4 people ideally but 2-3 works very well. Fill out a Serve card from the SERVE display in the Welcome area or talk to any member of the team. Barbara McKay is the coordinator for this ministry so you can also speak directly with her.

  • Budget Management
  • Provide input on the church budget and monitor spending
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and submit financial updates for business meetings
  • Banking and Payables
  • Oversee deposits and reconciliations, bill paying, and payroll Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to tax laws, non-profit filing and donor tax statements
  • Some of these tasks are weekly while others are monthly or quarterly

Key Skills and Qualifications or Skills and knowledge required for this Ministry

  • Integrity and trustworthiness
  • Handling information, financial data, and cash securely
  • Organizational skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge and / or church management software experience. (We use ACS)
  • Confidentiality
  • Collaboration
  • You will work with the Pastoral staff and finance committee to inform their decision-making and priorities.

Not everything we do in ministry is on the spiritual side (Praying, Bible Reading, Discipling, Evangelizing, Worshiping, etc.); we also steward what is provided to the local body of believers. Being a treasurer is key to maintaining healthy, viable ministries. As a church, we need to pray that God moves in the hearts of our members to fill this vital role.

1 Chronicles 26:20 established being a treasurer as a task for the Levites. God indeed established that we should manage finances and steward our resources for the building of HIS kingdom.

Does any of this sound like something God has prepared you for? If so, please pray about serving and especially talk with Charlotte or Roger.

Church – pray that God fills this position as soon as possible. After serving all of these years, Charlotte wants to smoothly transition to having an informed and capable replacement. Fellowship INSIGHTS week of September 19th
Revival – October 4th through the 7th – 6:30 – 7:30 each evening. How’s your Andrews list going? 6 people you are praying for and inviting to attend. By now, you should be asking them to attend by phone, email, handwritten note, or in-person visit. Attendance and results are totally dependent on God working through the Holy Spirit, but you can join in the process by making sure people attend to hear the good news! Romans 10:14-15 (NCV) 14 But before people can ask the Lord for help, they must believe in him; and before they can believe in him, they must hear about him; and for them to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them; 15 and before someone can go and tell them, that person must be sent. It is written, “How beautiful is the person who comes to bring good news.” Women’s retreat is next week. Please pray for a great time away to grow together in spirit and support each other, safety and health for all attending and leading. ATTENTION: All recipes need to be submitted for the Fellowship Cookbook to Dodie Hickman-Kincaid or Toni Evans by SUNDAY, September 20th. Building and Grounds have been busy painting the outside and inside of the church. Dean Molz has transformed the concrete foundation of the church single-handedly. Thank you, Dean; it looks awesome! Each day at 2 PM you have received a reminder and a request to pray for specific individuals and areas of service. In addition to this week of prayer we are asking that you contribute to the MMO offering using the envelopes in the pew during worship. Thank you for you support for the ongoing mission work. Christmas Choir is set and ready to begin THIS SUNDAY – September 20th. Rehearsals are on Sunday at 3:45-4:30 and / 6:45-7:30 (Choose ONE or come to both). The performance is Sunday, December 13th during the morning Worship time, and there will be costumed, non-speaking drama parts for many people. Sharon Campbell oversees the costumed drama, and Doug will lead the choir. Join us as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior! Jair and his family came to make us some authentic food from Venezuela. We had a great time in fellowship, worship, and in the Word from Jair. We are enjoying Sunday School studying the book of Romans. The youth are growing closer to the Lord in learning about the life of Paul and all the obstacles Paul went through just to share his Faith with others. Our next event will be the Corn Maze on October 18th. We will be leaving the church at 2:30 PM to head to Shyrock Farms for their huge maze. It will be a fun time! Fellowship INSIGHTS – Week of September 4th CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING – SUNDAY – SEPTEMBER 13TH After church on Sunday, September 13th there will be a meeting of all TEAM leaders (or their next in line). The purpose of the meeting is to create a church Council that meets throughout the year to help coordinate Calendar items, Pray for each, discover how they can partner or support each other, improve communication and in general seek to better organize the purpose of Fellowship Baptist Church. Again, all teams MUST have a representative at this meeting. Also please come with dates and ideas and be prepared to participate. Welcome back HOMEGROUPS September 8th is the official start of HOMEGROUPS. The lists have been filling up, but there is still time to join a home group and invest in relationships and spiritual growth. The date and times are listed on the sign sheets for each HOMEGROUP so check out the table and sign up today! SCHOOLS BACK AND SO ARE MINISTRY OPPORTUNITES This Sunday the Women’s Ministry is recognizing four teachers who work in schools and are a light that shines God’s Love to students and families. We will also have a time of prayer and demonstrate our support for their work. Speaking of back to school – Stephanie Boden will have special announcement of how you can participate in blessing students. Roger and Elaine in Kansas – Dave Martin in the pulpit As Roger and Elaine travel to Kansas to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the church God led Roger to start, Dave Martin will fill the pulpit and deliver a message for Fellowship. Pray for your list, pray over your list, and invite those on your list. WOMEN’S RETREAT UPDATE We are very excited that we have a large group of women going this year to the 2026 Women's Retreat - We will be Dancing in the Rain!!! At least 45 have signed up and paid to join us. This is the largest we have had. Thank you Jesus. We do have room for more, If you haven't signed up - please see Courtney or Connie this Sunday and we can possibly still get you added. Or send us a message. Special shoutout to Dodie who does her best to make sense of the food set up and prep. Dodie works diligently to keep our Kitchen supplied and ready to use. To that end WE NEED TO DO OUR PART! If you use the kitchen, make sure the crime scene investigators have little leftover evidence to prove it. There is a sign-up sheet that you used the kitchen, and we encourage anyone using the kitchen to coordinate that request through the church office. If you use the last one, please let Dodie know. If it needs to be washed, dried, and put away, please do that! This is a shared space and we do not pay to have it monitored or cleaned for you. We our blessed with an excellent kitchen and appliances and we need anyone who uses the resource provided to take time to clean and make sure the kitchen is ready for the next person. Church Directory Backdrop and iPad The iPad and backdrop will stay up for a few more Sundays as we make a final push to get a directory in print. To be clear, the directory is voluntary but extremely helpful when it comes to keeping us connected, not to mention how helpful it will be to a new pastor. If you need help it will be available, if you have a picture you would prefer to use, we can help with that. Either way, thank you for your cooperation and participation. Our goal is to create a paper copy in the very near future. We are SO excited that Awana begins back up next Sunday night (9/13) at 5pm! is a discipleship program with Bible teaching, Scripture memorization, games, snacks, and fellowship!
